Sad Rant

This is not a mad rant; it is a sad one. For any of you who I did not email, here it is.

On Thursday, February 19, 2009, a small orange kitten was let out of his household around six in the morning. That kitten's name was Zeus. He belonged to me, Rory. He was my favorite kitten in the world, perfect in a kitten-like way. He scratched and bit in a playful way like all kittens do. He caught mice and even birds and left them as presents for me, his master. But he also liked to sleep and he enjoyed purring at me. When I laid in my bed, he cuddled up to me, purring his signature loud pur. He was my best friend. But then, on the morning of February 19, 2009, he never came back from his daily outing between 6 in the morning and whatever time I got home from school. The world has embraced Zeus, and may never let him go. Whether his prolonged outing is because he chose to stay out, he got lost, somebody picked him up, he is hurt, or some other reason, I miss my kitty. I know that many of you can understand the pain I feel. I am sorry if this has distressed any of you, but I thought it was only right of me to let you know. I will immediately inform you if I hear any news of my cute little male kitten.

That is very sad. I'm sure your mommy has told you about losing her puppy when she was 5 years old or so. I think she still cries when she thinks about that.
