You know what I hate about playing board games?

So, I was playing this game where you are trying to fit 21 pieces on a board. You have to connect the pieces at the corners. You have to play against 3 other people, who also have 21 pieces that they are trying to fit on the 400-square board. It is a very strategic game. So, I put a piece down, and then took my hand away, looking at the board and thinking "If I go there, where can I move?" Then, I said "That's not where I wanted to go," But then, another person that I was playing with said “You took your hand off of it, so you went there!" So I looked through the rules and this is what they said, and I quote, "Once a piece has been placed on the board it cannot be moved" here, the unwilling player said "See?" "But there is more," I said. Again, here is what the game rules said, "Once a piece has been placed on the board it cannot be moved during subsequent turns." So, I was right, right? But no! Everyone else said I wasn't allowed to do that, so I had to keep the horribly-placed piece where it was. Because of that piece, I lost the game.
